I hope you spend a lot of time before in The Legend of Zelda: BOTW clinging to the sides of ancient mountains, ruins, or castles. However, climbing is an extensive part of your ability to explore the world of Hyrule, and being able to climb properly opens new areas. Exploration is Breath of the Wild’s lifeblood. So, today I’ll share Zelda: Breath of the Wild – how to get the climbing gear armor set.
Zelda: Breath Of The Wild (Botw) Climbing Gear Armor Set – How To Get This Unique Armor
Each piece of this set that you equip provides you with a boost to your climb speed. However, it doesn’t feel all that significant when you have only one set of the group equipped, but as this bonus stacks, it becomes a great improvement, with Link climbing mountains like a spider. However, it’s better still if you want to combine it with a speed buff via an elixir or a cooked meal.
This armor also has a set bonus, which means if you’ve upgraded it all twice at an excellent fairy fountain, you get an additional premium. Moreover, for the climbing gear set, bonus stamina consumption when climbing is diminished, further making this an absolute requirement for your exploration in search of shrines.
Each set of Armor is found in a different Shrine across Hyrule. Here’s where you can follow each down to get your hands on the full set:
Climber’s Bandana Location
Basically, the Climber’s Bandana is located in the Ree Dahee Shrine – that’s a shrine adjacent to the river that crosses through the duelling peaks, inside the duelling summits as you pass through the two mountains. However, you likely pass this one on your trip through Breath of the Wild’s story.
Climbing Gear Location (Botw)
Moreover, the body piece of the Climbing armor set, the Climbing Gear, is found inside the Chaas Qeta Shrine. However, this shrine is on a small island off the far South-Eastern shore of Hyrule. So, lookout for a region of the land that curves into a tip and follows that tip up – there, out in the Necluda Sea, is the shrine you needed. Moreover, you can use plenty of rafts with korok leaves to carry you out or spots to glide from.
Climbing Boots Location
The final part of the set is the climbing boots, and these are found in the Tahno O’ah Shrine. This is located on the eastern edges of Mount Lanayru, again on the east side of the map, and this is the time closer to the middle. An excellent place to start is the Hateno Research Lab, then head to the north-east.
Climber’s armor collection is an outfit in Zelda BOTW. It is a three-piece costume that increases your climbing speed, letting you scale mountains faster. However, it consists of the Climber’s Bandanna, Climbing Gear and Boots. They are hidden across three shrines, and you’ll have to do some puzzles and defeat a tough enemy or two to get them.
